The "intervention"

So last night I picked him up from his SAA meeting and we headed back to his brother and sister-in-law's house. His brother, sister-in-law, and sister were there along with my brother. Some of the closest people to him. To be honest I was so scared he would run and also he's been suicidal lately... but it went so well. Everyone's part in this were so profound and inspiring... He seems so relieved that we are all here to support him in anyway possible and now all his secrets are out in the open. There is no more reasons for him to lie. Yes he is human, and he will slip from time to time. I have so much faith in him and his strength. We're looking into different therapist for him and also looking into getting his brain damage looked at it so we can know what he's up against. I am so proud of him for accepting everything we had to say and also being able to talk with us. I pray he remains on this path of getting help and becoming healthy... Today is a good day.

Sounds like it was a hugely positive moment for everyone. May his commitment to emotional health be strong and successful, on his own terms, schedule and effort. May all friends and family support, but not enable. And may no one question his whereabouts or motives. Be well.
