Social Security Wants Their Money Back - Any Ideas?

Social Security sent me a letter Thurday, saying they will not pay me any more benfits this year, based on over payments from last year and...

...what they say therefore LOOKS like will be overpayments from THIS year!!! And they want an answer by TUESDAY, or i will not get my july check!

(I had to take Soc Sec early to have something to live on, but there are caps (very low ones) on how much you can "help yourself" through outside income.)

And this is on TOP of my wife leaving me about a month ago (which actually was a very good thing - emotionally, bad - financially)

Any ideas?

What kind of answer do they want? Are they asking if you agree? Maybe if they are lowering your SS due to overpayment, you will be able to work more toward outside income and still be under the 'cap'.

I would consult a social security attorney. They overpaid me for five months and then deducted it out of my benefits.
